Since 1929, the Penguin Bookshop has been a fixture in the heart of Sewickley, Pennsylvania. Though having been located in various storefronts throughout town over the years, the Penguin has continued to thrive through the loyalty of its customers and the passion of its booksellers. Located just 20 minutes outside of both Pittsburgh and the Pittsburgh International Airport, it remains one of the local and regional community's greatest treasures.
We offer an extensive collection of new books for all ages, as well as journals, Papyrus cards, and Blackwing products. We're proud to be a vibrant part of the Sewickley community and a great literary resource for the Pittsburgh region.
Our current owner is Susan Hans O'Connor. Susan bought the Penguin in 2014 after a long career in book publishing. She is proud to carry on the tradition of local bookselling in our community.
