Mama told me stories when I was very small... Little Cyrus loves to listen to his mama, Queen Esther, tell stories while she lovingly rocks him each night. His favorite story is how Mama rose from her life as a common Jewish maiden to become a Persian queen and the wife of King Ahaseurus. In this imaginative retelling of the biblical story, Esther is a true heroine of the faith. Cyrus hears how God uses his mother to save the Jewish people from death at the hands of wicked Haman. Some historians believe King Cyrus of Persia was the son of Esther and Ahaseurus. Mama Was a Queen is a creative account that takes readers back in time, to a world of wealth and power hundreds of years before the birth of Jesus Christ.
