Did
you know that cats were so revered in ancient Egypt that people used to
bury them with a bunch of mice to be sure the cat had something to eat
in the afterlife? If you have been reading Rick Riordan's Kane
Chronicles or would simply like to learn the proper way to mummify your
friends using toilet paper, come to Penguin Bookshop to hear local
author and educator Carrie Zuberbuhler Kennedy talk about the fascinating
subjects of Egyptian history and mythology. Kennedy, who holds a
Master's in education, is the author of Panorama: An Introduction to
Classical Mythology. The book received a 2010 IPPY Award for excellence in independent publishing.
