Stacy Innerst is an artist and the illustrator of many books for children. He has worked with such notable authors as Kathleen Krull, Tony Johnston and Jonah Winter. His picture books have received many awards and honors including: The Golden Kite Honor (SCBWI), a BCCB Blue Ribbon Picture Book Award, a Smithsonian Notable Book citation, two Parents' Choice Gold Medals, and have been selected for recognition by the NY Society of Illustrators (Original Art Show), School Library Journal (Best Book 2003, M is for Music), Publishers Weekly (Best Book 2011, Levi Strauss Gets a Bright Idea), the Junior Library Guild, and the New York Public Library (100 Titles for Reading and Sharing.) The Music in George's Head: George Gershwin Creates Rhapsody in Blue, Boyds Mills Press, 2016, was named a Notable Social Studies Book by the Children's Book Council and was included on Booklist's Top 10 Art Books for Youth.
In addition to his picture books, his illustration clients have included the Boston Globe, Harvard Business Review, PBS, American Airlines, IBM, the NFL and Major League Baseball, among many others. His editorial work in print and television has been honored by the Academy for Television Arts and Sciences, The Corporation for Public Broadcasting, the American Film Festival Video Awards, the NY Society of Illustrators, American Illustration, the Communication Arts Illustration Annual and Luerzer's 200 Best Illustrators Worldwide.
His paintings have been exhibited in Galleries and Museums throughout the U.S. and abroad including the Art Institute of Chicago, the California Center for the Arts and the Museum of American Illustration in New York.
