ITALIAN
GARDEN TOUR

Join
us for a tour of some of the wonderful traditional Italian gardens in the
Sewickley area on Friday, July 30th from 6:00 to 9:00pm.
The tour will start at Fern Hollow with a slide show, some Italian appetizers
and homemade wine. Afterwards we will carpool to Sewickley to visit a
couple traditional Italian gardens.

If
you can’t make the tour on the 30th, don’t worry! Penguin Bookstore will
be hosting a second tour for us and Membership Drive on Thursday, August 12th
from 6:00 to 9:00pm beginning at the bookstore then heading out to tour the
gardens. Anyone who sign up for a new family membership for $50 you will
receive one free admittance to the program.

in the afterlife? If you have been reading Rick Riordan's Kane
Chronicles or would simply like to learn the proper way to mummify your
friends using toilet paper, come to Penguin Bookshop to hear local
author and educator Carrie Zuberbuhler Kennedy talk about the fascinating
subjects of Egyptian history and mythology. Kennedy, who holds a
Master's in education, is the author of Panorama: An Introduction to
Classical Mythology. The book received a 2010 IPPY Award for excellence in independent publishing.

Zen and Mindfulness Book Club

book club will focus on how we can be fully present and engaged in key
areas of our life such as work, family, and health. We will be reading Wild Chickens and Petty Tyrants
by Arnie Kozak. The club is open to the public. Discussion will be
facilitated by members of the Zen Center of Pittsburgh. This book club
will focus on how we can be fully present and engaged in key areas of
our life. We will be reading some of the best recent books that address
these questions from the perspective of Zen practice and mindfulness.
