After Hours Summer Science with Elsie Spry
Monday, July 12th, 19th, and 26th 1:00pm
Are
you going to the Y.M.C.A. or Sweetwater Center for the Arts this
summer? Have your lunch then stop by Penguin Bookshop for our After
Hours Summer Science with Elsie Spry's "Particularly Fun Physics".
Your kids and you will learn about the physics of flowing particulates
like sand and rice. The Ancient Egyptians probably used this "new"
physics to move the giant granite obelisks. For budding or certified
engineers, it can be applied today to make a more effective retaining
wall. Cool drinks and an Obelisk cookie accompany the hands-on
activities. The cost is $5.00 per family. Please RSVP by e-mail
booklovers@penguinbookshop.com or phone. 412-741-3838
