His best-seller, Wicked: The Life and Times of the Wicked Witch of the West, turned the story of The Wizard of Oz inside out and is the origin of the Tony Award-winning musical. Maguire is also a national figure in children’s literature education and has written more than a dozen books for children. His lectures feature the voices of his characters and appeal to all ages.
